January 31, 2019 The 20th Annual Research Symposium and Mentoring Conference took place on November 10, 2018 and presented students with the rich opportunity to participate in research presentations (the undergraduate poster competition and graduate oral competition), panel discussions with successful LSAMP alumni, soaring keynote speeches, and an awards luncheon recognizing the notable achievements of LSAMP students contributing to the academic landscape in all areas of STEM (Science Technology Engineering Mathematics). The event was a special opportunity for students to engage in professional development, create strong networking ties with peers and mentors, and practice the art of scientific presentation.
